"I just wanted to acknowledge the service department for my visit for repairs. While on an annual bike trip many miles from home, my motorcycle broke down. After getting trailered to the hotel I was staying I awoke the next morning looking for a dealership to get my ride repaired. I called roadside assistance and had it trailered to New River Gorge HD where they couldn't help me as they didn't have a stator in stock. I called H-D of WV and was told that they had the part in stock and that if I could get it there they would try to help me. I purchased a battery from New River Gorge and installed it. I pulled all of the fuses except for the ECM, security & fuel pump. Our group of 20 riders left and rode to H-D of WV without a problem. By the time we arrived it was 2:50pm and they were closing at 4pm. The service advisor was very busy and I worried that I would not be getting back on the road that day. After some time and sitting on a new Ultra Classic Limited Low and contemplating trading my ride a friendly women had asked me to go to the service desk. At that time I spoke to service advisor LMK. He said not to worry that they would stay open to make the repair and get me back on the road. In the meantime my fellow riders were either in the store that remained open as well or at the grill. The women at the grill put on 20 burgers and fries and fed us! There was only 1 mechanic left on duty and he confirmed my diagnosis of a burnt stator. I apologize for not remembering his name! I am a mechanic and they were nice enough to let me visit the garage to talk to the mechanic while he started stripping the covers. The job was done quickly and clean as if I had done it myself! I was written up and taken care of and our group was back on the road again. I want to say that the whole experience from motorclothes to parts and service and of course the grill was second to none and the ownership of this dealership as well as the HD motor company should be proud to have these people representing them!!!! "I'd like to give a shout out to the good people at Harley Davidson of WV for being the definition of hospitality and service last month while I was acting as guide for a Church Riding Group from KY. The group wanted to stop in the So. Charleston shop to buy some mementos of their trip to WV. After shopping and as we were firing up the bikes getting ready to leave, one of the bikes wouldn't start. So John Messer and the guys in service jumped into action, pushed the bike into the shop, and within 10 minutes found the bad connection and had us on our way, free of charge. So to Dennis, Dave, John and the rest of the awesome folks at HD of WV, Thank You! (And thanks also to Brandie in Motor Clothes who also took great care of us!)
